When’s the last time you tried a new restaurant? With the unusual circumstances of the past year, it’s probably been a lot longer than usual. But new businesses are once again starting to open their doors—including Kabobistan Arlington, which recently debuted in Columbia Heights.
Its name offers a pretty good clue about what’s on the menu: Kabobs, mostly, with a few other Afghan dishes. Order a skewer loaded with beef, chicken, lamb, or even seafood and some colorful veggies. If you prefer to skip the meat, opt for a plate of fried eggplant, spinach, and chickpeas over seasoned rice, or try a kabob with veggies only. All of the kabobs are also available in sandwich form. Pair your main dish with a side such as the naan, spinach, or potatoes. Or jump right to the baklava for dessert!
